MIDTOWN — Mayor Michael Bloomberg may want to get a new pair of dancing shoes.

The mayor celebrated the season finale of Glee with cast members of the show including Cory Monteith and Kevin McHale, who were in town to shoot at the Gershwin Theater in Midtown Monday afternoon.

"Welcome to New York City," said Bloomberg. "This is a city that is open to everyone."

Screaming teens lined 51st Street waiting for a chance to see some of the Glee actors, who usually film in Los Angeles.

"Everyone is so ridiculously talented," said Amanada Beers, 17, who came into the city with two friends from Long Island. "We heard they were coming to the city. We followed the signs on Tumblr and Twitter."

The cast was in town to film the final episode of their second season in which the club competes in the national choir competition.

"The characters in the show have been trying to make it to the streets of New York," said Bloomberg.
