EAST VILLAGE — Police are searching for a bandit wanted for robbing a Second Avenue bank in broad daylight on Good Friday.

A man walked into the Chase Bank branch at 156 Second Ave., at East 10th Street, about 9:15 a.m. last Friday and handed a note to a teller demanding money, police said. He received an unknown amount of cash and then fled the bank on foot, the NYPD said.

The suspect is described as in 20s, standing between 5 foot 3 inches and 5 foot 7 inches, wearing black sunglasses, a gray and brown hooded sweatshirt, black leather jacket, blue jeans and dark-colored shoes, police added.
