MANHATTAN — A man suspected of snatching a gold crucifix from around a woman's neck was nabbed by police Monday night while wearing the stolen jewelry, an NYPD officer at the scene told DNAinfo.
Anthony Atkins, 46, was arrested at East 126th Street and Park Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. Monday, according to the NYPD.
Police said Atkins ripped the chain from around a woman's neck during an argument at a nearby McDonald's.
Atkins, 46, served time for second degree robbery in 1989, according to the Department of Correctional Services website.
