Man Killed in FDR Car Crash

MANHATTAN — A man died after he lost control of his car and smashed into a divider on the FDR Drive Tuesday night, police said.

Michael C. Iannuzzi Jr., 30, of Fayetteville, NY, was unconscious when emergency workers arrived at the scene at East 102nd Street at about 11:04 p.m., according to the NYPD.

He was taken to Metropolitan Hospital where he was pronounced dead, the department said.

Police believe the accident occurred after Iannuzzi lost control of his 1995 Ford and crashed into the divider.

There was no criminal behavior suspected in the incident, although the police are still investigating, according to the NYPD.
