CHELSEA — Night owls looking for a little style alongside their late night bites have a new option on the way in the form of a new Havana-style diner headed to 14th Street.
Chef Julian Medina, of YerbaBuena and Toloache, plans a Monday opening for his 24-hour Cuban eatery at 207 West 14th St., Time Out New York reported.
The menu at the diner, called Coppelia, will feature a mix of Latino classics and modern variations. Offerings include Caribbean rum-glazed shrimp, plantains, enchiladas, Cuban coffees and dulce de leche French toast.
All that will be served up in an atmosphere intended to resemble lunch spots in Cuba. Design features include bright blue booths, red linoleum tables, swivel stools and a marble bar.
Medina operates YerbaBuena outposts in the Village and on the Lower East Side, and Toloache downtown and in midtown West.
