Small Fire Temporarily Halts N Train Service in Midtown

Firefighters put out a small track fire on the N line at West 32nd Street and Sixth Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday. Service on the line was briefly interrupted.

MANHATTAN — Service was temporarily suspended on the N train line early Thursday morning after a small track fire.

The fire broke out on the N line at West 32nd Street and Sixth Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday, said a spokesman with the FDNY.

Fire crews quickly put out the flames and service was restored to the train shortly after 2 a.m., according to the FDNY.

No one was injured as a result of the fire.
