MANHATTAN — Actress and Aerosmith spawn Liv Tyler was one degree from Kevin Bacon Wednesday night at the IFC Center screening of their new film "Super" in Greenwich Village.
The pair participated in a Q&A about the film, an oddball super hero flick staring Rainn Wilson, along with writer/director James Gunn.
Gunn, a Columbia University alum, got his start writing cult classics like "Tromeo and Juliet" for the beloved Manhattan B-movie company Troma.
In SoHo, stars of the Bravo network, including the infamous "Real Housewives of New York City" — Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord, Jill Zarin, Cindy Barshop, and LuAnn de Lesseps — gathered at 82 Mercer for the channel's 2011 Upfront event.

Celebrity chef Rocco Dispirito, whose misadventures in the Manhattan restaurant world were chronicled on a 2003 NBC reality show, and Rosie Pope, the Upper East Side "maternity concierge," whose exploits will soon be featured on the Bravo show "Pregnant in Heels," were also in attendance.
Further uptown, at the Time Warner Center, a more senior crowd gathered for an HBO screening of "His Way" about the legendary film producer Jerry Weintraub.
Weintraub was there, as was "Murphy Brown" star Candice Bergen, writer Fran Lebowitz and gossip columnist Liz Smith.
