MANHATTAN— Two of baseball's biggest fans will soon be on display inside a glass-walled "Fan Cave" in Greenwich Village.

Mike O'Hara, 37, and Ryan Wagner, 25, were the "winners" of Major League Baseball's "Dream Job" contest, which offered two lucky fans the chance to watch at least 2,454 MLB games of the 2011 season from inside a transparent room, according to a statement.

Starting Thursday — opening day of baseball's regular season — O'Hara (a Yankees fan) and Wagner (a Baltimore Orioles enthusiast) will be stationed in front of 15 big screens in their decked-out sports den on Broadway and West 4th Street, chronicling their experiences on Facebook and Twitter.

In-person visitors will be able to check in on the contest winners through the building's glass walls, and, on special days, they will be able to go inside to enjoy various interactive features.

Among the attractions is a "Personal Style Section," where fans can receive haircuts and tattoos.

The Fan Cave will also play host to musical performances and celebrity appearances, all of which will be announced on the project's website.

While O'Hara and Wagner will not technically live in the Fan Cave, they will have to spend thousands of hours there over the next seven months.

To keep them alive and somewhat sane, MLB has installed a '50s style diner and a game room complete with shuffleboard, a pool table, a pitching alley and a PlayStation 3.

The two men were picked from a pool of nearly 10,000 applicants.
