Elderly Woman Hit by Car on Park Avenue

UPPER EAST SIDE — An elderly woman was hit by a car on Park Avenue in the Upper East Side on Thursday morning, according to the FDNY.

A fire official said the 78-year-old woman was struck at the intersection of 59th Street and Park Avenue at about 8 a.m.

She was taken to New York Hospital for treatment, but the extent of her injuries are not known, fire officials said.
