MANHATTAN — An NYU Law student is riding the Charlie Sheen media wave on a mercury surfboard, to borrow a phrase from the self-proclaimed tiger blooded Adonis.

Eli Northrup, a 3L at New York University Law School, and his band "Pants Velour" had racked up more than 167,000 views for their Charlie Sheen parody rap, "Always Winning" as of Tuesday afternoon.

The spoof, set to the music of Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow," is chalk full of references to the "Two and Half Men" star's recent antics, including his alleged Plaza Hotel meltdown last October.

"The hits keep going up so we're just riding it as far as it will take us," Northrop, who won a prestigious Hays Fellowship, told the law school's news blotter. "The goal is to get people interested in our band and our music going forward. I know the word is spreading because friends of my parents have seen the video."

Thousands of other YouTube responses to Sheen's controversial media appearances, including an auto-tune mash-up of his interview with "Good Morning America" and a Sheen-inspired mandolin song, have been posted to the video site.

Sheen fans can also "hear the REAL story from the Warlock" during the actor's two-night stand at Radio City Music Hall on April 8 and 10.
