MANHATTAN — CupcakeStop, a popular cupcake truck that opened a permanent location in Greenwich Village, announced that it was going out of business earlier this week.
The dessert company, which informed patrons of its mobile whereabouts via Twitter, opened at 70 Greenwich Ave. last December, according to Eater NY.
Its closure, which appeared to apply to both the truck and the permanent outlet, was announced over Twitter on Sunday.
"Dear CupcakeStoppers, after nearly 2 years in operation, CupcakeStop will be closing," the post, which had been retweeted 37 times, said. "Thank you for all your support and patronage!"
The CupcakeStop's website was disabled and their phone disconnected Tuesday afternoon.
