FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Plans to build a restaurant similar to "Windows on the World" at the top of the new 1 World Trade Center have been scrapped, according to published reports.
The eatery was cancelled because it was expected to be too difficult to find a restaurateur for the highly expensive space, the paper reported.
"These things are always money-losers," said Port Authority executive director Chris Ward to the Post.
"New York City already has plenty of great restaurants," Ward added.
