HARLEM — An unidentified person was assaulted after an attempted robbery at 119th Street and Lenox Avenue Monday and rushed to Harlem Hospital, police said.

The robber reportedly confronted the person about 4:50 p.m. and tried to steal the victim’s wallet and cell phone. The attacker then either slashed or stabbed the victim before fleeing, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said.
