HARLEM — Harlem's first beer garden is applying for a sidewalk cafe license.

Bier International will have a hearing for the license on April 6, HarlemCondoLife noted. The application is for a two-year permit for 16 tables with 34 seats.

The beer garden confirmed the application on Twitter.

"Yes, we are applying for a sidewalk license and hope that we get the support of the neighborhood," @bierint wrote.

The beer garden, located at 2099 Frederick Douglass Blvd. at West 113th Street, is part of a restaurant and bar boom in the Central Harlem neighborhood.
