Fire Quickly Extinguished at Residential WaHi Building

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A fire was quickly brought under control at a seven-story residential building Wednesday morning, the FDNY said.

The blaze, which began on the fourth floor of 711 W. 190th Street on the corner of Bennett Avenue, was extinguished at 8:57 a.m. less than 20 minutes after it was reported, according to the fire department.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, fire officials said.
