MANHATTAN — A fire broke out on the top floor of an East Harlem senior center early Tuesday morning, the FDNY said.
No one was injured in the fire at a senior center located at 2070 First Avenue near East 108th Street, according to fire officials.
The fire was brought under control around 1:20 a.m., approximately 25 minutes after it began, according to the fire department. Fire fighters were able to keep the blaze contained to the top floor of the 10-story complex.
