MORNINGSIDE HEIGHTS — Classic womenswear designer Ann Taylor hopes a recruitment session at Columbia University will help them infiltrate a younger audience.

The firm will host an interviewing and resume workshop at the school Feb. 10, where representatives will search for five Columbia students to model for an online look book catering to graduating students, The Columbia Spectator reported.

"Historically, Ann Taylor has been geared to a corporate woman who is already established, an older woman," Erica Clauss, a campus ambassador for the company, said to the Spectator.

"Now they're looking to jump-start an entire marketing campaign to capitalize on that transition from college to career," Clauss told the paper.

The models chosen from the event would be shot posing at spots around the Columbia University campus, the Spectator reported.

Actress Katie Holmes will serve as the new face of Ann Taylor starting in the Spring 2011 season, the New York Post reported.
