WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A basement fire broke out in a six-story building Monday morning, injuring two firefighters, the FDNY said.

The fire, which began in the basement at La Rosa Wine & Liquors at 3906 Broadway at 11:32 a.m., was extinguished at 11:57 a.m., according to officials.

The injured firefighters were taken to New York-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center with minor injuries, the FDNY said.

A man who identified himself as the owner of La Rosa said that although fire damage was minimal in the store's basement, the room sustained water damage.
