LOWER MANHATTAN — A man with five forged credit cards and a fake New Jersey driver's license was caught after trying to make a purchase at J&R last month, police said.
The man, Sheyvon Johnson, 29, was arrested about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 28 when staff at the Park Row electronics store realized the cards were forged, police said.
Johnson was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, according to the Manhattan District Attorney.
Johnson had just used one of the cards to buy $200 worth of merchandise at Duane Reade, police said.
