UPPER WEST SIDE — Models may not eat much, but that doesn't mean that everyone else at Fashion Week has to starve.
The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District has cooked up a plan to keep the estimated 100,000 fashion industry professionals expected at Fashion Week well fed.
The BID has partnered with 20 Lincoln Square restaurants to offer a discount program it's calling "Fashion Plate Prix Fixe," essentially an extension of Restaurant Week that will run during the haute couture event, which runs Feb. 10 through Feb. 17.
You don't have to be a fashionista to take advantage of the discount, it's open to the public.
Upper West Side favorites Telepan, Bar Boulud, and Atlantic Grill are among the eateries offering fixed price menus for lunch and dinner. The cheapest lunch menu is Sapphire Indian Cuisine's $14.95 buffet on Broadway between West 60th and 61st streets. Picholine's four-course lunch will set you back $42.

Some restaurants are naming menu items in honor of Fashion Week, with Luce Restaurant & Enoteca serving up "Slim Fit Baby Arugula Salad" and "Risotto for Models."
Visit the Lincoln Square BID's website for a full list of restaurants.
Some establishments are also offering discounts for the production crews that will work behind the scenes setting up and taking down Fashion Week.
The discount program, called Crew Cuts, gives crew members a 6 to 20 percent discount on "quick and affordable" food at 'wichcraft, Alan’s Market Place, Breadsoul Café, Lincoln Café, Melissa’s Gourmet Deli, Old John’s Luncheonette, 63 Bites, The Flame Restaurant, Francesco Pizzeria & Restaurant and the Olympic Flame Diner.
