HARLEM — A 56-year-old man was found in the common area of a Harlem basement apartment early Wednesday morning and died upon arrival at the hospital, according to the NYPD.
Police found the man unresponsive and with head trauma in the common space of the basement apartment at 153 Edgecombe Avenue at approximately 12:30 a.m., police said.
The man was taken to Harlem Hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead upon arrival, the NYPD said.
Police said and investigation was ongoing and the medical examiner had yet to determine the man's cause of death.
Police did not reveal the man's identity pending family notification of his death.
