MANHATTAN — Teen music phenom Justin Bieber visited Midtown Monday afternoon for a taping of "The Late Show with David Letterman."

Even if you couldn't see the tween hearthrob, you could know his presence by the sound of the shrieking girls near Ed Sullivan Theater where Letterman's show is taped.

"Just got to Letterman! Paul Shaffer is [C]anadian! He is like the original," Bieber tweeted Monday.

He also tweeted from the show, "I'm hanging out with my Dave at @late_show."

The segment aired Monday night, but Bieber said he'd be back on the show Friday for the Top Ten list.

He was on the show to promote his upcoming 3D biopic, "Never Say Never."

It chronicles his path to fame, from being a kid in Canada with big dreams to selling out Madison Square Garden.
