EAST VILLAGE — A man wanted for allegedly shooting his cousin during a family dispute in the East Village last week has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, police said.

Daniel Claudio, 31, of 225 E. 2nd St., turned himself in to police in the Bronx on Jan. 12, after allegedly shooting his 33-year-old cousin in the stomach that morning, according to the criminal complaint and police.

The male victim remains in stable condition with intestinal injuries in the intensive-care unit at Bellevue Hospital, the complaint said.

Claudio allegedly argued with his cousin before firing two shots, according to the criminal complaint.

A woman in the building suffered an accidental wound to her head during the incident, police said, though it was not clear whether her injury was related to the shooting.

Claudio was also charged with first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police added.

He was ordered held without bail at his arraignment last week.
