UPPER EAST SIDE — Firefighters extinguished a basement fire that broke out at an Upper East Side apartment building in a matter of minutes Monday.
The FDNY got a call about a fire at 324 East 91st Street at 5:30 a.m. Monday and had contained the flames by 6:12 a.m., a spokesman with the department said.
Only the basement of the six-story apartment building was affected by the fire and there were no resulting injuries from the blaze, according to the FDNY.
