LINCOLN CENTER — After months of speculation, Verizon Wireless is set to announce that it's about to offer customers the iPhone, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The company will make the announcement at Lincoln Center during an event on Tuesday, the paper reported.
The company sent invitations to journalists asking them to "join us as we share the latest news" at Tuesday's event, though specifics about the announcement were not revealed.
If Verizon releases an iPhone, it would put an end to AT&T's exclusive hold over Apple's super popular gadget which it's had since 2007.
