MEATPACKING DISTRICT — Forget luxury spas and swimming pools — the latest must-have for Manhattan hotels is an ice rink.

The Standard hotel opens its own rink Saturday, the same day that guests at the W Downtown can start packing their skates.

At 3,000 square feet, the 848 Washington St. rink will dwarf the W's tiny 12-foot-by-40-foot version.

After the opening, the Standard's ice will be open between 10 a.m. and midnight seven days a week, according to the Hotel's publicist. On Friday morning, workers sprayed water across the lot to freeze, and tied festive lights to the barricade.

Tickets will cost $12, with skate rentals setting winter sports enthusiasts back an additional $3.

Skaters looking to warm up can also sample the Andre Balazs hotel's special après skate menu, including a $40 classic cheese fondue and $8 tempura onion rings.

The $7 "super rich hot chocolate," offered in white or dark versions, counts crushed peppermint candy cane among its toppings.
