MANHATTAN — Police released surveillance video Thursday of a man believed to have sexually assaulted a woman in her SoHo lobby.
The suspect followed a 33-year-old woman into her apartment building on Thompson Street at about 6 a.m. on Friday and then attacked her, police said.
The man sexually assaulted her in the lobby and fled the scene, police said. The victim was treated at a nearby hospital.
Anyone with information about the sexual assault is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted to the police by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website or by texting 274637(CRIMES) and entering TIP577.
