Police Hunt for Suspect in Robbery of 85-Year-Old WaHi Woman

MANHATTAN — Police are hunting for a suspect in connection with the robbery of an 85-year-old woman in Washington Heights over the weekend.

The suspect followed the woman into her home on West 164th Street at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and demanded money, police said.

The suspect than took an unspecified amount of cash from the elderly victim and fled, police said. The victim was not injured.

Police described the suspect as a black man between 30 and 40 years old and standing between 5 foot 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, gray sweatshirt and blue jeans with a dark hat, according to police.
