FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A 24-year-old Brooklyn woman, who was heading to the World Trade Center on September 11, was mugged by a man brandishing a knife, police said.

The woman, who was on a PATH train about 4:45 p.m., when the man  stole her $50 Coach purse containing a MetroCard, keys and $60 in cash, she told police.

Police are seeking a man described as 25-years-old, Hispanic and 5-feet-7 inches tall.

A day earlier, a 63-year-old Staten Island woman waiting at the Whitehall Street R station discovered that her wallet was missing, police said.

The victime, who reported the crime three days later, told police that her debit card had been used seven times, totaling $432 in unauthorized charges.

On Sept. 16, a 52-year-old New Jersey woman reported that her pocketbook was stolen after she'd left it on a ledge outside the Iron Horse Bar, at 32 Cliff St., while having a cigarette, police said.

The woman said she returned to the ledge about a half an hour after that smoke, and found it was gone. She also lost $20 cash and a Droid phone.
