LINCOLN CENTER — The runway models weren't the only ones turning heads at Fashion Week.
Fur-lined sports jerseys and peacock feather-adorned top hats were just some of the bizarre looking fashion statements guests made at Lincoln Center this week.
Designers Lincoln Ward Cutting and Michael Jasonos attended runway shows each day of Fashion Week sporting fur-lined jerseys of their favorite baseball, hockey, and basketball players.
The two launched the line of garments, which they dubbed "furseys," at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver last winter.
"The furseys are like caviar on a saltine cracker," Cutting told DNAinfo at Lincoln Center.
Meanwhile, gashion designer Malcolm Harris walked through the tent lobbies in a Wu Tang Clan cut off shirt and a floor-length red lace skirt, using his style to defy gender norms.
Colombian designer Nora Ruth, who was dressed in lace-up red patent leather boots on one of the days of the fashion fest, said the week should be celebrated in dress.
"I wish everyone understood fashion. Good fashion makes everything a better place," a vinyl-and-leather-clad Ruth said.
