MANHATTAN — Pop star and fashion designer Gwen Stefani appeared in an outfit that can only be described as "bananas" at her Thursday night runway show, which helped to close the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

The kente-clothed Stefani was joined by her 5-year-old son Kingston Rossdale, who wore matching attire, onstage following the show. Musical artist Kanye West, "Project Runway" winner Christian Siriano, socialite heiress Nicky Hilton and the British singer formerly known as "Scary Spice," Melanie Brown, were also there to support the former "No Doubt" front-woman as she debuted the Spring 2011 line of her L.A.M.B. brand.

Elsewhere in Lincoln Center, leading ladies Katie Holmes, Julianne Moore, and Kerry Washington sat front row at the Calvin Klein fashion show, while beloved "Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker chatted with infamous Vogue editor Anna "Nuclear" Wintour inside the Oscar de la Renta event.

Nearby, eccentric figure skater Johnny Weir pioneered a new fashion accessory – the stuffed ferret shoulder muff – while taking in new looks by New York designer Isaac Mizrahi.

The Upper East Side's own Ralph Lauren wore shiny leather cowboy pants to the debut of his new Western-themed line.

Actor Ryan Reynolds didn't attend Fashion Week Thursday night, but that didn't stop him from flashing a little "Blue Steel" at the Tribeca Grand screening of his new film, "Buried," in which he plays a man who wakes up buried in a coffin.

Back in Midtown, the Paris Theatre premiere of acclaimed actor Philip Seymour Hoffman's first directorial effort brought out actresses Susan Sarandon, Uma Thurman and artist Julian Schnabel.
