MIDTOWN — There’s no use crying over spilled milk, but what about the spilled coffee that flooded a Midtown intersection Tuesday afternoon?

The massive puddle of java was served up around 1 p.m., when a vendor, towing his coffee and bagel cart down 42nd Street, tried to turn left onto First Avenue. The vendor turned too quickly, causing his cart to flip onto its side in the middle of the turn-lane, according to onlookers.

"He turned too fast and it tipped over," said a witness, who declined to give his name.

No one was injured in the minor cart-astrophe, and the accident was cleared around 1:30 p.m.

The vendor said he received two tickets and his coffee and bagel cart was seriously damaged.
