LINCOLN CENTER — The work week kicked off with collections featuring spring-inspired prints and bold colors at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Monday.

Carolina Herrera’s spring collection was voluminous and featured garments with strong floral prints and silky layered dresses. Models graced the runway in large-brimmed hats and slick hair pulled back and held in place by handfuls of barrettes.

"Vogue" editors Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, and Andre Leon Talley, "Vanity Fair" editor Graydon Carter, "America’s Next Top Model" coach J. Alexander, and "Top Chef" judge Gail Simmons all attended the show.

Black took a backseat to bold colors and bright whites at the Carlos Miele runway show. The spring collection included mostly form-fitting dresses of varying lengths with curved lines of yellow, red, and orange, and plenty of feminine prints.

Notable guests spotted at Carlos Miele's show included Olivia Palermo of "The City," Kristin Cavallari of "Laguna Beach," and singer Kat DeLuna.

The Tracy Reese collection featured vibrant hues of blue and coral in designs that were clean and classic, but had a flirty summer flair to them.

Celebrities at the Reese show included Kelly Osbourne and Denise Richards.

Other big name designer shows on deck for Monday included Betsey Johnson and Perry Ellis.
