INWOOD — The song and dance act most husbands get into on their wedding day usually involves booze and cold feet.

But Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote and starred in the smash musical "In the Heights," put on a Broadway-caliber show at his wedding last weekend that included his father-in-law and the bridal party.

Miranda and the father of his bride, Vanessa Nadal, got up in the middle of the wedding reception and busted into a full-fledged performance of "L'Chaim (To Life)," from "Fiddler on the Roof."

The groomsmen joined in. So did the bridesmaids.

"My surprise for my wife Vanessa on our wedding day," Miranda wrote in a note that accompanied the video on YouTube. "All of Vanessa's close friends and family rehearsed for a month in secret, leading up to the reception. What we lack in polish, we hopefully make up for in joy and love. In any event, everyone in this video has one thing in common: We'd do anything to show Vanessa how much we love her."

The two met as teenagers in Washington Heights, but only began dating four years ago. They now live in Inwood, where Miranda was raised.

They were married Sept. 5 at Belvedere Mansion up in the Catskills.
