MANHATTAN —Talk about extremist!

A preacher told a crowd at the New York Marriott Downtown that all Muslims would burn in hell - and then announced he was raising funds for a "Christian Center" to counter what he called a "Victory Mosque" being planned two blocks from Ground Zero.

Bill Keller, who travelled from Florida for the fire and brimstone sermon, also hit out at Mormons, gays, Hindus and pro-life supporters.

But Muslims were his main target.

"Islam is not and has never been a religion of peace," he told his audience, according to the Daily News.

"How could you build bridges with people who ask their Muslim brothers to fly a plane into the Twin Towers and killed thousands of innocent people?"

A video also appeared on Keller's website, liveprayer.com, but a message accompanying the film insisted it had been banned from YouTube by Muslims.

"Last night, Muslims from around the world shut down the servers at YouTube to block our video about the 9-11 Christian Center at Ground Zero!" it claimed.

YouTube is owned by Google and isn't normally censored in the United States, except for copyright reasons.

According to the News the crowd of 40 included mostly out-of-town visitors.

Many opponents of the proposed mosque wanted to avoid being connected with Keller because they considered it would make them easy targets for accusations of bogotry and racism, said the News.

According to his biography on liveprayer.com, Keller ran a successful computer business until he was convicted of insider trading and spent three years in jail.

After his release, he studied biblical studies at Liberty University. His ministry credentials, according to the site which he runs, aren't through any of the major branches of the church in America.

The site also has features comparing President Obama to Adolf Hitler, a debate with Oprah, as well as advice on relationships and more.
