MIDTOWN — Jets fans flocked to Times Square on Tuesday to cheer on the team's training camp efforts and preview scenes from a new HBO reality show.

Head coach Rex Ryan, who appeared via satellite link from the team's upstate training camp, said the crew for HBO's "Hard Knocks: Training Camp With the NY Jets" — a reality show that gets a behind-the-scenes look at players' lives — had full access to the teams' training sessions and even captured Ryan's profanity-laced tirades.

"I've been told I swear by everyone," he said to the crowd gathered on the Broadway pedestrian mall between 42nd and 43rd Streets.

The first episode of the show airs August 11 at 10 p.m.

Jets cheerleaders and young New Yorkers competing for a spot as preseason Jets assistant team captains added to the high-spirited enthusiasm at the event.

Gov. David Paterson was also in attendance.

"Last year, we knocked on the door, this year, we're gonna kick the door in," he said of the team's chances this season.

Screaming Jets fans agreed. Dre Kearney carried a home-made poster imploring Jets owner Johnson to keep player Darrelle Revis on board, despite the player's high salary demands.

"I'm just supporting my boy," Kearney said. "[Johnson] said he wants to win the Super Bowl. How could you win the Super Bowl without Revis?"

"I understand he's asking for a lot of money, but it's worth it," he added.

Smeared in green and white paint and wearing a Jets colored fright wig, Rubin Polizzi, 26, said he regularly went out of his way to support the Jets.

"As someone who's really into the team, it's great to have the them in the national spotlight," said Polizzi.
