MANHATTAN — West Village hotspot The Spotted Pig may typically play host to packs of upscale New Yorkers and celebrities, but early last Friday morning, 27-year-old Edward Wilson apparently decided he wanted the bar to himself.
Police arrested Wilson inside the closed bar about 6:30 a.m., according to police reports.
Wilson had helped himself to three bottles of liquor, with a total value of $520, after breaking into the building about 6 a.m. through the basement hatch.
Police have charged Wilson with felony burglary in the third degree.
