MANHATTAN — Thousands of "Mad Men" fans packed into Times Square for the season four premiere of the hit show Sunday night, many of them dressed up like characters from the circa-1964 drama.
Cast members from the show also turned out for the 9 p.m. premiere, which aired a full hour before everyone else on the East Coast watching at home.
“It’s a dream come true to be here in the middle of Manhattan for the premiere,” Elizabeth Moss, the actress who plays Peggy, told the Daily News. “I live in New York. I love this city and I’m proud of it.”
Moss also celebrated her 28th birthday at the event, with a giant pink cake and sparklers, the paper said.

Abby Pearson, 21, a fashion student from Missouri State University, came dressed to look like a resident of Madison Avenue in the late 1960s.
“If only I could dress like this everyday and not get strange looks on the subway,” Pearson told the News while showing off her pearls, red high heels and A-line skirt.
Lester Parry, 32, an advertising agent wearing a gray suit like Don Draper, played by Jon Hamm, reminisced about an era that was known for its three-martini lunches.
“It’s interesting to see how much fun they used to be having at work,” Parry told the News.
