UPPER EAST SIDE — It's hard to beat 50 cents a cup — especially on the Upper East Side.

But on Tuesday, friends Jamie Michelson and Lizzie Pearson, both 11, were doling out lemonade to thirsty passersby on East 77th Street for the low low price of 50 cents, with all proceeds going to the ASPCA.

"Do what you have to do for good stuff," said Pearson of the fundraising gig.

The sixth graders said Michelson's pets, which include dogs Tucker and Daisy, hamster Skittles and a fish that doesn't technically have a name but she sometimes calls Fishy, inspired the fundraiser.

The girls said they try to set up the stand for about an hour or so three times a week.

Michelson and Pearson were happy to talk about their earnings — they've made $100 for the ASPCA this summer — but when it came to their lemonade recipe, they preferred to stay mum.
