UPPER WEST SIDE — The parents of murdered wealth manager Shele Danishefsky Covlin say her children are being "brainwashed" and kept from them, the New York Post reported.
Joel and Jaelene Danishefsky said they had not seen their grandchildren Anna, 9, and Myles, 3, who are in the custody of their paternal grandparents, in more than a month.
It was Anna who discovered her mother's body in the bathtub of the family's Upper West Side home on New Year's Eve. Authorities later determined the 47-year-old finance executive died of strangulation.
Since the grim discovery, Covlin's family has been locked in a custody battle over the children with the family of Rod Covlin, the victim's estranged husband.
A Manhattan Supreme Justice issued a gag order on the ongoing custody hearings in April.
