MIDTOWN — Shake Shack is getting ready to open its doors near Times Square.

Busy staffers could be seen Tuesday unpacking forks and Styrofoam cup holders from cardboard boxes at the Theatre District space at the corner of West 44th Street and Eighth Avenue.

Despite some hanging computer wires, the space looks pretty much ready for business, with neon green chairs neatly stacked on tables, Shackmeister Ale and Abita Root Beer pumps installed and merchandise hanging on the walls.

"We're all inside learning how to cook Shackburgers! Please come back soon," a sign posted on the restaurant's glass doors read.

Spokeswoman Leah Herman said the restaurant is set to open in early to mid-July. But a menu on the store-front window dated June 30 hints at an exact date: July 14.

An Upper East Side location at 154 East 86th Street is also expected to open in late July.

The beloved burger and frozen custard shop, which is owned and managed by Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group, began as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park.

The current expansion includes new locations in Miami Beach and Kuwait and a possible branch in NoLiTa, which has faced significant opposition from the community.
