DNAinfo Visits the Broadway Street Fair

By DNAinfo Staff on June 7, 2010 2:25pm

UPPER WEST SIDE — Among street fair staples, such as $1 Thai food, sunglasses and socks, was a newcomer to a Broadway fair Sunday — DNAinfo's bright red tent.

Several DNAinfo staffers, and a few roped-in significant others, spent all day at the fair that ran from 66th to 72nd Street.

DNAinfo editors and reporters handed out balloons and encouraged fair-goers to sign up for the newsletter and enter for a chance to win an iPad.

The event was a great success. DNAinfo even emptied an industrial-sized helium tank by handing out balloons to hundreds of children, and a few adults with kid-sized hearts.

If you missed us there are still plenty of chances to stop by our tent and enter the sweepstakes — we'll be setting up at street fairs all summer long.

Drop by our tent at 76th and Broadway on June 13.
