MANHATTAN — LeBron James is being courted by practically everyone in Manhattan from Mayor Michael Bloomberg to the guy at the deli counter.

But is this town big enough to hold another superstar?

Perhaps not, as Yankee Captain Derek Jeter and hip-hop legend Jay-Z are reportedly refusing to encourage the baskebtall superstar from signing with the Knicks or the Nets.

“That’s his decision,” Jay-Z, a part owner of the Nets, told Rolling Stone, according to the Daily News. ”We’re friends - we’ve still gotta hang out! I don’t want to convince somebody to do something, then have to see him and say, ‘Uh, yeah, we’re 4-30 …sorry.”

Meanwhile, Jeter told ESPN he's not going to lobby James, either.

“If I were going to another baseball team, how would a basketball player help?” Jeter told the network. “I don’t play basketball. I have nothing to do with that.”
