GREENWICH VILLAGE — Soul food lovers are going to have to wait another week to get their fix of pork chops and barbecued salmon in the Village.
Pink Tea Cup’s highly-hyped reopening was slated for Tuesday, but it has been postponed until June 9 for last-minute fixes, a restaurant spokesperson said.
“[We] want to make sure everything is perfect for opening,” the spokesperson said.
Pink Tea Cup, a 55-year-old soul food restaurant — once frequented by celebrities Bill Cosby, Susan Sarandon and Whoopi Goldberg — is slated to reopen with new management at 88 Seventh Ave. after its old location in the Village was shuttered in December.
It will now be run by Lawrence Page, who operates the Actor's Playhouse down the street and will bring a new menu and cocktails to the restaurant.
