MANHATTAN — A pair of Manhattan high schoolers were enjoying the spotlight Wednesday after having their subway-inspired compositions performed by the New York Philharmonic at Lincoln Center.

The two 16-year-old straphangers from LaGuardia High School wrote “Brooklyn-Bound F Train” and “Sixty-Sixth Center,” which were chosen by Philharmonic maestro Alan Gilbert to perform at Avery Fisher Hall.

“It is absolutely thrilling!” one of the students, Ethan D’Ver, told the Daily News about his composition, which was motivated by his daily commute from Queens to the Upper West Side school that famously inspired the film “Fame.”

"Most composers will live their whole lives and never have this opportunity."

The other student, Stella Fiorenzoli, wrote her piece about riding the No. 1 train from her TriBeCa home to the 66th Street-Lincoln Center station near her school, the News reported.

The compositions are being performed through Friday for the Philharmonic's School Day Concert series.
