CHELSEA — Project Runway designer Malan Breton and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn are among those expected to attend the 12th annual gala of advocacy group Marriage Equality New York at Chelsea hot spot Slate on Wednesday night.

The gala will recognize and honor members and friends of the LGBT community who have helped move the marriage equality cause forward in New York and across the country.

Honorees include the gay advocacy group Queer Rising, "Law and Order" actor B.D. Wong, NY State Senator Jose Peralta, and Shannon Minter, the legal director for the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

Also expected at the event are Emmy Award Winner Leslie Jordan, the "cowboy" from the Village People and cast members of the current Broadway production of "Hair."
