UPPER EAST SIDE — More than 30 Madison Avenue boutiques are offering shoppers and passersby a chance to glimpse some of the priciest bracelets and baubles in town alongside flowers from Central Park.

Window displays at 32 luxury jewelers between 57th and 86th streets are showing arrangements that combine flora and bling as part of “Platinum Jewels in Bloom,” a program organized by the Madison Avenue Business Improvement District in recognition of the Central Park Conservancy’s 30th anniversary.

Ten percent of proceeds from sales derived during the event, which began on April 8 and concludes Friday, will go to support the Park's 21 playgrounds.

“It’s a wonderful charity because everyone in New York goes to Central Park," said Noreen MacDonald, store manager at Di Modolo at 703 Madison Ave., where she said the event has driven up shopper traffic.

All arrangements were curated by Conservancy horticulturalists, who helped shopkeepers make selections in tune with both their brands and species native to the Park. Cherry blossoms were the most popular choice, followed by the tulip, which is a mainstay at the Conservancy garden in April and May.

“People have come in just to specifically tell us how gorgeous the windows are and how excited they are to see how Madison Avenue has been brightened up,” said Catherine Bove, Boutique Director at Chopard, located at 709 Madison Ave. “We were really excited to bring a piece of Central Park into the boutique.”
