Betsey Johnson Sample Sale Takes Sting Off Tax Day

MIDTOWN WEST — Betsey Johnson, known for her playful and adventurous designs and doing gymnastics on the runway, will hold a sample sale of dresses and accessories next week at a Midtown hotel.

The sale will run at the Millenium Broadway Hotel on W. 44th Street between from April 14 to April 16 beginning at 10 a.m. Apparel will be discounted up to 80 percent and accessories will be half-priced.

Johnson, a respected designer since the 1960s, crafts over-the-top and feminine pieces and was awarded the National Arts Club Medal of Honor for Lifetime Achievement in Fashion in October of 2009, according to her Web site.
