TIMES SQUARE — Manhattan ladies are in luck — the Naked Cowboy is single!
Times Square singing legend Robert John Burck, better known as the Naked Cowboy, tweeted on Monday morning that he and his longtime girlfriend had split.
"Naked Cowboy and Cindy Fox split after 5 1/2 years due to irreconcilable differences," the performer's Twitter page read.
Burck, who lives in Fox's townhouse in Secaucus, NJ with her and her three children, announced his candidacy for New York City mayor last year. His out-of-state residency made him ineligible to become mayor, though Burck said throughout his brief campaign that he would move across the river to become eligible.
The Naked Cowboy stands in Times Square each day wearing just a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, and tighty whities, strategically placing his guitar to give the illusion that he's naked.
