MIDTOWN WEST — A coffee vendor was arrested Friday after he allegedly attempted to lure a 14-year-old girl into his van near Columbus Circle, the New York Post reported.

Anthony Twitty, 40, was arrested on charges including attempted kidnapping, stalking, harassment and "acting in a manner to injure a child," police said.

Twitty approached the teenager about 8:30 a.m. when she was on her way to school Friday morning, the Post reported.

Twitty, a Bronx man who served two years in prison for attempted assault, allegedly asked the girl if she wanted to work at his coffee cart, as well as offering her $300 to buy a cell phone, the Post said.

He then allegedly brushed up against the girl with his shoulder and edged her toward a more isolated area saying, "You wanna warm up? Come inside my van," according to the paper.

The teenager ran down the block to Martin Luther King High School, where she is a student, and told teachers what had happened, the Post reported.

Twitty was arrested roughly an hour later.
